Blog Emails

Since the school requires that we email the parents, we should use the power of our blogs to email the students' parents. This is a great way for them to know what we are doing, and also expose them to our blogs.
So, the first step is to login to your blogger account and go to your dashboard. To do this, go to your blog, click "sign in" in the top right corner, then click on "Customize" or "New Post" then click on Dashboard. It will have your blog(s) listed. When you have done that, click on Settings, and then Email, as shown below.
This will take you to a screen that looks like this:

In the BlogSend space, put in your work email.

Then click "Save"

Now, you need to go to Entourage and click Tools, then Rules.

When the rules window pops up, you need to make sure that the POP mail is selected as shown below.

Click New in the top left corner, and we will make a new rule. You will need to populate it with the fields shown below.
The highlighted fields are the ones you need to change. Your rule should look just like this.

When you get to the "Forward To" section, you need to add all your students' emails to that line. The easiest way to do this is to go to your address book, click on the email address column header, and select all your students that have email addresses. Go to "Edit" the choose "Copy" and go to your edit rule box again, and paste the list of email addresses into the line that is after "Forward to".

Instead of choosing "Forward to" you can choose to redirect the emails to the other emails. This may help your emails to the parents not be seen as spam.
